Choosing the slackline Especially in the beginning turns out well every of the question : What Slackline is right for me?Who do I start? With the wide range of kits available on the market quite legitimate questions that we want to answer as short as possible because of our experience from numerous workshops and by feedback from our customers here.
Tip 1 : orange Wing 35mm width :
orange 35mm Wing - a soft dream
Perfect our experience to get you started is the 3,5er Orange Wing. With a width of 35mm it is a good mix of the wide and narrow sets,The band is extremely soft, has stitched edges and is accordingly very foot friendly.
Decision support and advice:
1)The smaller width makes it difficult not to go.On the contrary: the Line wobbles less sideways.2)For children 6 years and to 65 years (in this case it comes to the surefootedness)
Tip 2 : Flash Line Set 50mm width

The jump and Trickline among Slacklines
The Flash line is slightly wider than the Orange WIng ( Tip 1 ) with 50mm and offers correspondingly greater surefootedness.Who is looking for a Trickline/Jumpline who is happy with the Flash Line . The Line offers outstanding dynamics and are a large part of the energy back .
Rookie Flash Line in 15 meters for beginners and novices,Freak Flash Line in 25 meters for pros and ambitious Jump Liner
Decision support and advice:
1). For Trick and Jump Liner as perfect momentum when jumping2). for the elderly (over 65 ) and rather insecure children ( more surefootedness by the width of the Line )
Details zur Wahl der Slackline
If you are looking for more information : In the following part we are going to be more detail on the reasons for the recommendations for slackline sets above.
The question " for which Slackline I decide " is not so easy to answer. Some say the narrower Slackline ( with 25 mm - for example, the Blue Wing ) is better for beginners , others believe the slightly wider ( 50mm - like the Flash Line ) .And then there's the middle wide Slacklines with its 35mm ( like the orange wing) .All slackline types have advantages and disadvantages . And the decision should turn out according to your personal requirements and interests here.
25 and 35mm Lines
The narrower Lines are stable per se . Sturdy not of the durability of the slackline , but based on the lateral tilting behavior . Does the narrower variant tilts laterally away but is not stable under the foot .
Downside is ( if you want to see this as a disadvantage because ) the narrower band which less space and thus provides less grip the feet . This is probably the most common reason for the assumption that a broader Lines is easier to start with in any case . However - as described - a fallacy :-) .
For more unsportsmanlike or anxious people, and children under 5 and the elderly from 70 years , we recommend rather broader Slacklines more surefootedness to give and thus to avoid falls .
What is the long term Slackline right for me?
Who wants to play it safe, which should try slacklining with various line types again. This is for example, in a slackline workshop, can be at the attempts under the guidance or even in a few slackliners in the park, where you can try once determined.
It is very important : you need it,please do not the other. And the longer one is , the more different Slacklines tries out one.Time here in the park, sometimes there at an event. And at some point you know then what a Line most suit you.And this feeling should then trust.
